Many Nations of Wealth don’t help the needy, Why?
There are so many nations of wealth around the world why don’t they help the needy before a disaster happens?
People rally round when something goes wrong, governments send in aid to deal with natural and man made disasters to the tune of millions of dollars.
Why can’t the nations of wealth with huge budgets and national reserves help the third world countries who are struggling now. Some of the locals in Saint Lucia, a small Caribbean Island see it as their right to steal in order to live. Why?
When the people of America could help their neighbour, why don’t they notice poor peoples plight? Why do they have to wait until something is posted in the media before they send out an envoy or visit the death and destruction, the acute events.
The difference I feel is the same as with health issues, we call have something wrong with us, but it has been there a long time so we ignore it. For example do you know the signs of acute alcohol poisoning? Alcohol poisoning is an acute condition it needs immediate treatment, however the long term use of alcohol can result in a chronic condition which needs long term treatment.
In the world today poverty could be seen as a chronic condition which requires treatment, but its not the political high flyer like a national disaster. Poverty doesn’t hit the headlines and since the nations of wealth are busy dealing with day to day issues the chronic conditions go unnoticed.
How can we make them notice, the nations of wealth are plenty, they have many millions of their own subjects to manage, control and provide for. Is it really down to them to solve the long term chronic problem of poverty around the world? Do they even want to be “cured”.

This is a great thought provoking article. I agree with you that the nations of the world should help the needy regularly and not just during a disaster. Look forward to reading more such inspiring posts in future too.
If you know there are billions of dollars are stored in swiss banks from all over the world. India stood at first in terms of amount. There should be a law like 0.1 or 0.2 % of money will be deducted from each account annually which will intern use into remove poverty from the different corners of the world.

Poverty is really a long term chronic problem. I should advice the nations of wealth to look into this matter instead of only dealing with the other issues of our day-to-day life. This chronic problem is surviving for many years and we need to eradicate wholly. For that we need to unite and make this a HIT-Headlines in the media everyday in different forms.
